Kai Smart was born in a chicken coop in 1979. She formerly resided in the enchanted city of San Francisco, but now makes her home in the inland Delta town of Davis, CA. She is employed full time at her dream job as a tattoo artist at Primary Concepts Tattoo and Body Piercing. Though she considers her life charmed, someday she would like to live in a cottage with a sod roof and ride motorbikes around the British Isles. If she had the choice, she'd want to meet Hundertwasser, Sally Mann, or Andre Breton.
